Image you like

This picture was taken during London Fashion week in on elf the buildings where they were selling High street brands. This event that went on upstairs was for a designer based in the Philippines where she showcased her clothing line that were dresses inspired from Filipino culture. The dresses that were worn created a tribal look of the different assets that represent the culture. As, the models came in and out there was this gate in the middle which they came out from. This showed that these clothes were to be showcased once for the people there. The gate represents this barrier to her clothing line as it separates the audience from the clothes. This gate and ceiling helped represent cultural differences enforcing the clothing line which represented Filipino tribal clothes.

The image I have taken was inspired by the photo of this gate in Regents park there's a difference between the location of each of these gates. One being shot inside and the other being outside. The natural lighting reflecting off this picture creates this sense of royalty with the designs and textures received from the gold and black colours within the gate. Whereas, the photo I've taken is shot using artificial lighting as this was a gate inside a building the structure of the gate focuses on the designs on the bars rather than the top of the gate like the picture below. The interior of the ceiling and the gate represent a sense of cultural difference showing a sense of diversity where in comparison the gate in Regents’ park reflects British culture by having the engravings onto of the gate.
