For all these picture, I have taken different shots and location to demonstrate large depth of field. Large depth of filed create this effect to make the viewing point of the viewer to focus on the setting. This means that the objects closer to the viewer will be out of focus, opposite to shallow depth of field which blurs the background to four on the subject in front of the viewer.

Shallow Depth of field

Aperture: 1.4 Lens: 28 mm. This was taken from a low angle as the flower was on a branch it makes the picture to be viewed as if its being looked from below. The shallow depth of field help focus on the subject's details foe example the flower demonstrates each of the plant's part.
Aperture: 1.4 Lens: 28 mm This is another flower on the tree the shallow depth of field allows to show the direction in which the sunlight is aiming at the plant. The blurred and dark background determine this

All these pictures were taken using shallow depth of field this allows to focus on significant parts of flower the viewer would focus on. For example, using shallow depth of field the aperture setting stronger with the lenses, allows to fill the with the flower revealing the most important features of the flowers.

Moodboard

This is the type of concept I would like to choose when taking pictures of street wear. These are the type of magazines that tend to use street wear worn by the models. I want to combine fashion and urban culture that can be followed by children as well as adults. What inspired me to have this concept for a magazine was from Seoul Fashion week. The children came wearing street inspired looks by the high end fashion altered for kids wear. e.g. wearing bomber jackets, long jackets and designer shoes.

These pictures were taken from Seoul Fashion Week. I have photoshopped them to focus on what the children are wearing to establish what type of fashion I want to include for the magazine.

I think my ideas are appropriate for a children's apparel magazine for retail shops such as GapKids and ZaraKids because this is a different approach to kids fashion. Instead of the basic, playful style of clothes we can promote streetwear for all ages. It doesn't have to suit young adults its also a way for children to express themselves whether it be a high street brand or a style which reflects the new styles inspired from fashion week. To achieve these shots I have found pictures that goes with the type of theme I'm aiming to create with my photos. I still want use a child-like theme within the pictures and appropriate clothing that still represents children's street wear.

These series of pictures were taken in two locations one in a children's clothes shop and the other a child's birthday party. I have included elements that show a child like theme for example, the slide and balloons this adds a playful theme to the picture. I bought the contrasts down to focus more on the subject of the boy as he is representing toddlers wearing streetwear. For the final picture I think I'll choose the first picture as the cover for the magazine because there are more elements that helps portray children's streetwear. This picture follows the same concept of the style in pictures from the magazine moodboard I made, by using the similar style of editing it will appeal to an audience interested in streetwear also.

Rembrandt/3 quarter, Beauty light, side light

These pictures are shot from the 3 quarter light. This is where the lighting is facing ninety degrees in line with the subjects face giving us this shadow effect half of the subjects face.
.
These photos were taken using the side light we can see that the light is much closer to the subject compare to the three quarter
light which is much further from the subject
This is the beauty light where the lighting faces the front of the subjects face, but there is less shadow compared to the three quarter light.

Painting With lights

By using the bulb setting this allowed the light to appear in the dark room. We were able to create a drawing from the influence of lights. We used a tripod to keep the camera stationary to take these pictures. The lights were used simultaneously to draw these images.

For this picture the camera was able to capture the movement of the light which we can see from the person waving the light above it.
The next picture we mixed the colours blue and white light to draw with. The overlapping colours create this effect of distance from each light in the picture.
This picture was made using the lights from our phones. We can see a contrast of how the light intensities are with the other pictures. Lights from the phones are portrayed weaker than a light stick as the movement stops the light is at its strong point.
This is similar to the previous post using the flash from a phone. It's almost as the light is glistening off the phone giving off a starlight look.

Wash your hands. Place them out of reach. Wear gloves when moving with the chemicals.

Tripping and Falling

loose equipment left on the floor when not being used. 8
Clear space so its easier to move around

Working in the dark
People in
the work area
It makes it harder for people to see.
Try to not expose as much light it will effect the picture.
8Clear space before turning off lights.
Fire
People in
the work area
can damage and cause injuries or death.9Stay away from the fire and leave the building to prevent accidents.
Cables
People in
the work area
set up equipment will be stepped on or tangle if loose on the floor.8
Use masking tape to make them hidden and plug them into the nearest sockets. To prevent them from getting caught or trapped.

Placing the camera/lighting on the Tripods
People in
the work area
If the tripod set up with a camera were to be knocked over it will break both tripod and camera.
Could fall on top of people
5
Secure the equipment being used on tripod tight to prevent it from falling and breaking. Single leg in front to stop them from toppling over. All three legs spread out.

Overcrowded rooms
People in
the work area
having too many people in one room makes it difficult for people to move and breath.6
Ventilation- opening the windows or turning on the air con, or open the door to allow air to come through. Have smaller groups.

Turn off electrical equipment
People in
the work area
the equipment will overheat and makes it difficult to work with.9
In between use to stop it from overheating. E.g. modelling lights can become a fire hazard if its left overheated.

No Water
/liquids
People in
the work area
can damage the electrical equipment. Or cause people to slip. Don’t have water whilst working. Slipping over the slippery surface
8Keep water or other drinks in bags away from the equipment.
Lights.
People in the work area.bright lights could damage and overheat the light.4
Remove the caps otherwise it will melt

This underlines what precautions to take whilst shooting in a dark room or studio. By seeing what should be done beforehand this means that less risks and damage of anything happening when shooting pictures are identified. Also, that what can be done in the room for setting up the equipment e.g. the lights and props are safely set up and put away after use.
