Photo Essay - Composition

(Rule of thirds) - using four points to align a subject. By using this effect the subject of the photo is positioned to the right using the rule of thirds using the toy as a focus point in the photo.

(Rule of thirds) - this again is used from a closer angle.  When using the rule of thirds the lines where it crosses are guildines to where you should meet the subject of the picture to be positioned.

(Depth of field) -Blurry background. The shallow depth of filed used in this photo portrays the focus point of the subject. The blurry effect makes the background or setting less of a distraction to focus what is being shown.

(Filling the frame and cropping) - This similar to shallow depth of filed but without a blurry background. the subject in the photo takes up the space in the frame shoowng the full size of the object there.

(Large depth of field)- Vanishing point in the background of the frame. From this effect the objects close to the camera are out of focus portraying the setting of the background much clearer from a further view.

(Leading Lines/Large depth of filed)- This was shot using flash this adds to the large depth of filed in the picture.

(Leading Lines) + (shallow depth of field) - the subject becomes blurry when demonstrating shallow depth of field that portrays the direction the lines are going.

(Filling the frame and cropping)- Making your subject a significant portion or getting close. This was shot from the left side of subject than the centre.

(Filling the frame and cropping) - This is shot uses a close up as the subject nearly fills the frame.
